In deep gratitude towards all the masters, teachers and healers that crossed my path. I honor, respect and love you.

I am deeply grateful for your presence in my life and the wisdom you passed onto me.

During that time when she was living, studying and teaching at the Himalayan Ashram Anand Prakash she was initiated in a big ceremony with the name Prema Padma meaning

‘Love of the Lotos'.

With the initiation follows a responsibility and purpose to fulfill.

Yogrishi Vishvketu spoke the words

"Be steady and be grounded, and you will blossom like a lotos flower".

Prema is a Sanskrit word meaning "love" or "affection" and refers to a divine love or higher love, related to God or some form of spiritual pursuit. Feeling divine love is one of the many spiritual benefits that can be gained from yoga practice. Deep meditation, Bhakti Yoga, Mantra chanting in Kirtan and controlled breathing are among the techniques used

to advance toward this special kind of love.

Padma is the Sanskrit word for lotus. This aquatic flowering plant plays an important symbolic role in yoga and many Indian religions including Hinduism and Buddhism. It is often referred to as the “sacred lotus.”

The blossoming of the lotus is like the promise of the spiritual path; it represents the possibility to bloom even from the muddiest waters and find beauty and bliss through enlightenment.

In Hinduism, the gods, Vishnu and Brahma, and the goddesses, Lakshmi and Saraswati, are often depicted with lotus flowers or are associated with them. Vishnu, for instance, is sometimes described as the “lotus-eyed one.” Brahma is often depicted in padmasana, blooming from the petals of a lotus flower, with the unfolding petals symbolizing the expansion of the soul.

Many of the chakra symbols of yogic philosophy feature the lotus, and draw on it as a representation of purity and divine beauty. Padma is also one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism, representing primordial purity.

Padma grows from out of the mud, but blooms in perfect beauty above the surface of the water. Thus, it is often seen as a symbol for those who overcome ignorance and suffering in order to find enlightenment and Self-realization. It can be seen as representing purity of body, mind and speech, as it rises above attachment and desire, liberated and full of bliss.

"Dearest Joy, thank you immensely for being this fairy-angel in my life and the life of so many other people. You'll carry bliss with you wherever you go and all creatures will be enlightened by your presence. Thank you for holding space for me, for inspiring me and showing me me the way by your words, your example and your magnificent energy."

-Lilliana, Greece

"Dearest Prema Padma, Wow what a fantastic experience with all the great women it was on Monday! Thank you so much for hosting this with your love, energy and holding safe space.  I'm very much interested to go on this adventure as it felt incredibly freeing. I hope I can join your full moon ceremony as well! Best wishes!"

Ella, Germany

"I attended a New Moon ceremony led by Joy. She introduced us to concepts of womb healing and divine feminine and guided us in an energetic practice of Chinese healing sounds, breathing exercises and mantras. I felt very safe in the space she held and discovered a new connection to my womb. At the end of the evening my period pains were gone, magic!"

"Dear Joy, I have now been practicing with you the last months nearly daily from Monday to Friday at 6.30 AM with Green Yoga Online and I am so happy that it became a great routine for my life. 1-2 Hours in the early morning just for myself. My body feeling became way better, my mind is more calm, I can always recall on the breath exercises you taught me. It has become a part of me and I am sooo happy about that. And that is just the beginning, as there is so much more to discover. I also like your being as a teacher a lot, you teach calm, relaxed, traditional, powerful, loving and you offer a holistic experience with breath work, meditation, mantras and asanas. I thank you SO much. <3"

Ramona, Germany

"Dear Joy,

my back-pain determined my days, before I started practicing with with you in our vitalizing morning yoga class. It was a holistic experience.

Thank you for your quiet and motivating way of guidance through the asanas with all your helpful explanations regarding ayurveda, breathwork and meditation.

For the first time in my yoga history, I felt the ability to connect with my breath during the complete session and due to your individual support, I am pain-free now and feel better balanced not only in my body, but also in my emotions.

I hope, you can guide me along a little further... love, Desiree"

"Dearest Prema, meeting you is such a precious gift to my yoga journey in India. There is so much healing energy when I hear the kirtan music from you.
